Baby girl Giada

I can’t help but share this sweet little bundle Newborn session, that I did wayyyy back in June. It had been SO long since I had a baby girl in the studio, so styling was SO.MUCH.FUN! Sweet little Giada literally slept the entire session for me…she was a dream!!

I am always so excited awaiting the arrival of new parents and their sweet little bundles. It NEVER gets old. The hugs, the tears (sometimes those are me, but I promise I’ll do my best not to? but just go with it….) all the snuggles, all the giggles with Mom & Dad which let’s be really sometimes are a result of fatigue, due to the lack of ANY sleep. I genuinely love the entire experience from start to finish. This little lady, completely perfect. Seriously how gorgeous is she!

My heart so full today as I sit here writing this….there are so many exciting things on the horizon that I can’t wait to share, one being my new CLIENT CLOSET. Yes thats right. I am currently working on selecting pieces for a client closet that I hope to offer in the New Year! Starting with Newborn through to 2 years of age! SO excited about this, as I love styling and selecting outfits, so why not offer this as a service to my clients. I will say however, this is quite the investment, so it has been a slow process getting this up and running. Included in this will be a client consult for wardrobe selection when booking family sessions. I will be offering MOOD boards with colour scheming and outfit ideas for families when they book a session with me. I believe it will help families visualize colours when all put together and give them the confidence to know that when walking into their session they look DAMN good!! <3 SO! I am sure you will be seeing a lot of this in my instagram stories as pieces arrive. I can’t wait to style your littles in these adorable pieces I have picked out!! <3

This amazing Mama in these photos…well I simply adore her. Like really. Being that I live in a small town, I have been pretty blessed to be able to yes meet so many new people in my job, but also work with so many that I have already had the pleasure of knowing. And in this case, this girl and I? we go wayyyyy back. I am talking like Grade 6 back. She has always held and continues to hold a special place in my heart, even though we don’t get to see one another as often as I know we both wish we could! But heck yes, I am SO happy to be able to capture these moments for her with her sweet girl!

Every time we get together, it is non-stop laughter. I mean like that in your belly, laughing so hard your cheeks hurt kind of laughter! And her daughter? NOOOOO different. Love this girl. SO.FREAKING.MUCH. Her little light, is always shining when I am around her! The connection between these two, UNDENIABLE. I am a sucker for Motherhood sessions….ALWAYS. It may have taken me a little while to figure out where my BIG passions were, but I think I can safely say…I have found them. Enjoyed every second of this sweet session and already can’t wait for our next one! <3

Hi all of you beautiful people!!

I am sitting here, typing & deleting…over and over. Thinking to myself, what should I be talking about in my first ever BLOG post??!! I have DREAMED for so long about having a BLOG. Not only just for my love of photography, but my love of writing and just connecting with people. It’s my thing. <3 Those that know me personally I think would agree? <3 Given that this BLOG is mainly a space for me to write and share my photography work, I have decided to share my first ever Motherhood session I did in my sweet little in-home studio space. I should say, it wasn’t until very recently I really connected with what type of photography my heart has been longing for…and decided what do I have to lose? Just go for it Michelle and the truth is, WHY NOT?

I have had a little space in my home used for work for quite some time now, but I didn’t pour into it all that I wanted to until recently…I never imagined a former bedroom in our home (yes thats right a bedroom), could have been converted into a little studio where I could invite families & friends to capture some of their most precious moments. Although someday, yes I hope to have a larger studio-space, I LOVE a challenge and have fully committed to making this space live up to its potential. I won’t settle for anything less! When you have a vision, dedicate yourself to it and are willing to work hard; amazing things can happen. Actually, correction amazing things WILL happen. SO! Please have a peak at the post below.
